Here is what some Mommies and Daddies have to say
about HypnoBirthing and labor support...
When I birthed my first son, I just went with the flow and didn’t educate myself fully. I figured the doctors knew what was best for me and most of my friends had had successful, happy birth stories by going the epidural route. I was, however, thrown through a loop when this went south for me and my epidural didn’t work. Talk about being unprepared! So this time I wanted to prepare myself for doing it naturally just in case. I wanted to make sure I had an alternative method of pain management in case the drugs didn’t work. So I armed myself by reading to educate myself and took the Hypnobirthing class. As I learned more and researched more, I knew that I was doing the right thing for me and it was what I wanted.
This time, I got the birthing experience I wanted and it ended up being even better than I could have imagined.

Avalee Estella arrived on September 6th at 4:58 in the morning! She was born in our home with water and hypnobirthing helping! What made me want to have a home birth was the fact that I did NOT have a pleasant experience at all with the epidural for my first daughter's birth. It was so scary, every time I had a contraction her heart would stop. I was shaky the whole time from the effects, and I had to have oxygen. To me, that was not how birthing should be. Thankfully everything ended up going well, but as for the whole experience I wanted to try something different.
So I started talking with friends. I had a few friends that had used midwives at home and in the hospital, and I had many friends who did no epidural and had good experiences. So I knew that I could do it, it was just the HOW!? Then I heard about water births and heard how the water helped relieve the pain. And last I was introduced to the book, "Hypnobirthing" by Marie F. Mongan. I LOVED it. So that's how it all began and this is how it went....!
THANK YOU so much for a wonderful Hypnobirthing class! I know it helped me! And I actually did it! I had a baby, with no epidural, at home! Yeah me!

The Hypnobirthing techniques helped me during my pregnancy to relax and ease my anxieties; it made my pregnancy that much more enjoyable! During labor, the techniques helped me focus on my body and my baby. I plan on using Hypnobirthing again in the future!

She is here!!!! I delivered a beautiful girl Grayce Marie on Wednesday June 30th, 7 lbs 15 oz. We had a wonderful experience. I labored at home from about 11 to 4 and then went to the hospital. The nurses did not believe that I was in labor because I was so relaxed but I was 7 cm!!! After 3 1/2 hours she came into the world. Thank you so much for a wonderful class! We are definitely hypno-birth advocates!

Thanks for all of your training and advice!

I am so happy I got my VBAC! My doctor did the perineal massage the whole time I was pushing, no episiotomy, just a very small tear. Again, so much better than a C-section. I got to hold her I think for almost an hour on my chest, they never asked me for her until I actually on my own said, ok you can weigh her now:) They held off on the meds like I requested until she was acclimated, they did the bath in the room later, it was awesome. Also, the only people in the room for the birthing were the doctor, one nurse,
and Andrew and I! No bright lights, nothing like you expect. So in that regard Phoenix Baptist was wonderful. All in all we are very happy, and hypnobirthing gave me lots of tools to help me through pregnancy, labor, and birth. I just wanted to say thanks again for your support and I would recommend you and hypnobirthing to anyone!:)

The birth went great with no complications. The hypnobirthing worked wonderfully and I was able to do it all natural just like we had planed and prepared for. We are so happy she is here and we are enjoying every second with her.

Taking the HypnoBirthing class helped tremendously since this was our first baby and we didn't know what to expect. The relaxation techniques and exercises truly helped me relax and focus on what I needed to do (my husband even listened to them after a hard day and he would go into deep relaxation every time!). I always took time during my lunch breaks or at the end of the day to listen to Rainbow Relaxation and I feel that is one of the major reasons I had a stress free, wonderful pregnancy.
During labor, I listened to Rainbow Relaxation and worked on imagining a wonderful birth. Unfortunately I had to have an augmented delivery and needed Pitocin so I did end up getting an epidural. However, since I had been so calm and focused by practicing the relaxation techniques during early labor I feel that things progressed nicely and helped me cope with the unexpected change of plans. I stayed focused and still used HypnoBirthing techniques throughout active labor (visualized our baby in our arms, worked on breathing the baby down as much as I could) and ended up holding our beautiful 8 pound, 5 ounce baby boy after only 20 minutes of pushing. I know that I was still able to have a great delivery and recovery because of how calm and relaxed I was. I knew my body knew what to do (even if it needed a little help) and I had confidence in this because of what I learned from HypnoBirthing. I love HypnoBirthing and still have a goal of using it for all my subsequent pregnancies.

My son was born at 6:21 a.m. during a completely unmedicated birth. Minimal stitches and my recovery has been amazing. My husband really wanted to get this sent to you as fast as possible. He really feels the class helped us through this experience.
